The East Asia Humanities Forum 2021, co-hosted by Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture and Peking University's Institute for Religion and Culture, was held online from August 21st to 22nd.

The theme of the 12th symposium was 'Eastern Culture and Rituals.' 19 scholars from Korea, China, and Japan presented their papers at the conference.

Daesoon Institute of Religion and Culture, Daesoon Jinrihoe Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex was represented by two participants, Vice Director Cha Seon-Keun and the researcher, Choi Chi-Bong. Their presentations were on ‘The Classification and Characteristics of Deliverance Rituals for Grudge-harboring Ghosts in Modern Korea’ and ‘Achieving Immortality in Daesoon Jinrihoe.’ The number of attendees increased over previous years due to the shift into an online format.
