- Holding Gosa Rite to Resume Constructing Gosung Jaeseang Hospital

   - On September 30, a gosa* was carried out to announce the resumption of the construction of Go-seong Jaeseang Hospital in Gangwon Province, at 9:30 am. This gosa was attended by more than 1,000 devotees from the Goseong Jaeseang Hospital (located in Bongpori, Tosung-myoen, Korea). The groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 12, 2000, and the construction resumed in 13 years after the exterior of the main building was completed in September 2005. - The size of the hospital is 13,600 pyeong, including 3 underground floors and 11 floors above the ground. The hospital will be equipped with 22 hospital beds, 9 medical clinics, and 500 inpatient beds. When the large-scale general hospital is completed, medical services in areas such as Gangwon-do, Sokcho, Goseong, and Yangyang are expected to improve even further. - *Gosa: shamanistic ritual in which food is offered to the spirits in order to avoid misfortune and bring good luck.
