On December 16, Takahiro Katsuragawa, Mayor of Kameoka City—located in the central-western region of Kyoto Prefecture, Japan—visited the Yeoju Headquarters Temple along with Hiromi Yano, Advisor for Overseas Affairs.

During a meeting with President Yun Eundo, Mayor Katsuragawa stated, “Kameoka City is pursuing the vision of an organic city and is engaged in initiatives such as developing the Kyoto vegetable brand and supporting young people returning to farming.” He added, “In order to enhance our competitiveness, we hope to learn from the outstanding organic farming methods practiced by Daesoon Jinrihoe,” explaining the purpose of the visit.

The delegation toured the temple’s organic farming system, including a visit to the agricultural team’s greenhouses, and experienced an organic meal at Jayandang, a dining area for practitioners engaged in Holy Works. Following the visit, the delegation proceeded to Daejin University to hold working-level discussions on youth exchange programs involving Kameoka City and the Oomoto religious organization.
