On November 7th, a delegation of high-ranking officials from Lang Son Province, Vietnam, visited the Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex. The delegation from Lang Son Province, totaling 10 individuals, including Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Dang An, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Trong Hung, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, and Le Van Ben, Political Commissar of the Military Command, announced that their visit to Korea, which lasted from October 6th to 10th, was aimed at facilitating exchange with Daesoon Jinrihoe and DIVA (Daejin International Volunteers Association), as well as holding meetings with Incheon Metropolitan City for benchmarking economic development models.
The Lang Son delegation had breakfast with Yun Eunho Chairman of DIVA (Daejin International Volunteers Association) and then held a meeting in the international conference room. Afterward, they toured the Temple Complex and visited the museum. During the meeting, Chairman Yun Eunho said, "Today is Ip-dong (Start of Winter), which is a major event day for our religious order," and added, "I understand that Vietnam also has a similar winter-starting culture, so let us pray together for the great development of Lang Son Province."
In response, Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, replied, "Although it is quite cold today because it is Ip-dong, we did not feel the cold thanks to the warm hospitality of Daesoon Jinrihoe." He further expressed his gratitude, saying, "The support from DIVA accounts for the largest share among various international organizations operating in Vietnam, and I thank you once again for that."
Lang Son Province and DIVA signed an MOU for mutual cooperation in October, following a medical service event held in Lang Son Province, Vietnam. The meeting with Incheon Metropolitan City to benchmark economic development models was also arranged through the introduction of the religious order.
