The exchange began in earnest with celebratory performances, including traditional Korean instrumental music and traditional vocal performances (Changsori). In his speech, Director Yoon Eun-do stated, "Dojeon, who established Daesoon Jinrihoe, taught that 'Haewon-sangsaeng (Resolution of Grievances for Mutual Beneficence) is a philosophy of peace that helps others succeed.'" He added, "This religious value is a precious asset and mission that must be continued. Since inheriting and developing this depends on the younger generation, who are our future, I hope for mutual visits, including youth exchanges, with our Taoist friends from Taiwan." Following this, Wu Jin-lian, the founder of Shengmu Temple, expressed her hope, saying, "Starting with this exchange event, I hope Korea and Taiwan can pioneer a better environment for the next generation.
